====== Servers ======

CSS uses [[https://www.hetzner.com/|Hetzner]] for its cloud server hosting. This is where a majority of the CSS infrastructure is run from; including a Minecraft server, Discord bots and various applications. Login information for Hetzner is stored in [[applications:vaultwarden|Vaultwarden]].

Due to Hetzner charging in Euros the guild can sometimes be tempermental when it comes to processing them. External Payments are generally recommended for this, see SGF-16385 as an example. When doing this, you will be sometimes asked for proof of exchange rate. To satisfy this, simply google the invoice amount and screenshot the GBP amount that google gives you. If doing it this way, you'll need to make sure the invoice is submitted as soon as possible after it comes through, otherwise the time it takes to be processed by the guild will be after the deadline for payment. The alternative method for this is a Personal Expense, where you make the payment with your own card or payment method first, and then claim this back from the guild. When doing it this way, you will almost always be asked for a bank screenshot or statement showing the conversion rate.
