Committee onboarding

Welcome! If you're reading this you're either joining the CSS committee, or you're nosey. This document is to help you get set up with all the different services we have, and to hopefully ease the burden during handover.

The first step you need to do is to do your committee training, and importantly the GDPR training. Without it, you can't be added to any of our internal services.

Historically, we have shared this space with GDS but in the academic year 2025-26 their society got fucked over by a bad committee so this may be somewhat in the air going forward.

This is the role that allows users to see the channels and be able to send messages. The Member role is purely cosmetic, but has a minor difference in permissions, …

Minuting a Regular Meeting

Before each meeting, an Agenda and a set of minutes must be prepared. First create a new folder in the drive, titled with the date, then copy into this folder the previous meeting's minutes. You can then remove completed actions and past comments, and add any new events and topics that are needed in the minutes. Also add any apologies received so far. The agenda should also be edited accordingly. Links to these can then be posted in th…
