We have one GitHub organisation, CSSUoB. All current and ex-committee are members of it, plus any other contributor who wants the little icon on their profile.

Active committee members should be added to the developers team, which grants write privileges to repositories within the organisation. Committee members who wish to be included in the code review mailing list should be added to the

We use Google drive for document sharing, photo storage, forms, meeting notes, etc. Because having a proper organisation costs money, we instead have a shared Google account (whose credentials are stored in Vaultwarden), and committee members personal Google accounts should be added individually.

Mailjet

Mailjet is an SMTP relay which we use for transactional emails, for applications like Vaultwarden. It is properly set up for sending mail from @cssbham.com addresses.

Having a trusted sender like Mailjet to send mail is necessary as the University's mail service is very strict with external senders. In my (Leonardo's) experience I get blocked after about 5 or so messages trying to send mail without a relay. Unfortunately, it does not seem like there is an easy way to get SMTP connectio…

We use Namecheap for domain registration and DNS. Account details are stored in Vaultwarden.

We own the following domains:

We use Netlify to build and deploy <https://cssbham.com/> and <https://birminghack.com/>. Login is done via GitHub SSO, whose credentials are in Vaultwarden.

Netlify will not deploy a failing build - so worst case if a PR is merged to the deployed branch and the build fails, the last successful build will remain deployed. This is handy in that the site will stay up despite a dodgy build being pushed to main, but also means that unless you specifically check the Netlify deploy status af…
