Mixers are a good way for people to meet others who are in the same circumstance as them. This has always been PGT and first years, although we have done a third year mixer in the past in the cs building since there is a lot of people coming back from industry/doing integrated masters and the people in their year are different now. It might also be worth doing a PGR mixer of some sort, maybe working with the school to do so.

In terms of location, these mixers have previously been in Joes but that's a spoons now and I'm not sure if you would be able to book tables there or not since it hasn't opened as of me writing this, although you could also just turn up tp spoons as a group and probably find somewhere to sit. You could also just choose to book sloman out and do something in there, similarish to break;.
